The Place My Hair Says "Home"

Part of my organizing list this week is to have my hair done.  But there was something special that I thought about sharing, the salon where I went and fell in love with its interiors, the Platinum Studio.  Owned by Sara Trusty, she is also the sole hairstylist of this tiny and elegant beauty lounge.
Unlike any other salons,  Platinum Studio has only one mirror with a styling chair.
Sara has a full time morning job and manages her salon by evening appointment.

"I want my clients to feel comfortable and see that they are well taken care of
as the way they deserve to be," Sara tells me with a smile of excitement.

She designed the interiors herself applying Parisian style.
A coffee, tea or beverage is also available for a compliment service.

This salon is situated in an old historic building and was formerly a hotdog fast food place
that she renovated with the help of her husband.  It was quite a greasy and dirty spot that she
has worked on totally revising the look of it!

Sara designed this space to have a built-in bar at the far corner where she displays a
few jewelries and some beauty products for sale.

I had my hair done yesterday night, it was a Brazilian treatment and have my hair dyed in dark black.
The best thing about this experience with her was, we enjoyed our conversation a lot and we have quite the same interests.  She is very fashionable and beautiful, the way she appears to er clients gives a sense of assurance through her reflection towards us.

  1. Wow, beautiful salon! I haven't been to a hairdresser's in almost a year, I'll go again when the winter is over...

  2. This is an amazing boutique salon! The space is beautiful itself and I couldn't imagine that it used to be a hotdog restaurant with the way it looks now. I would love to see her handiwork with a snapshot of your hair.

  3. What a lovely salon. It must have been fun to get your hair done in a place like that. Would love to see how the color ended up coming out.
