To share you one of the best summer events I went here in Oregon, is the Oregon Country Fair last July. (I have a reason why I did not publish it in purpose...)
( shirt dress from my mother, flea marketed necklaces, a necklace and a bracelet from Philippines,
a multiple beaded bracelet from Nordstrom, a freshwater pearl bracelet from aunt, Nevados hiking boots, and a headress hand made by me)

You've got to remember that when you go to this event, you have to wear a very comfortable shoes that you will not care may it be dusty or muddy after the day! It should be something that would keep your feet safe from walking. Also bring a bottled water, cash, and extra batteries for your cameras.
Many people from different countries pay tribute to this event by travelling to Oregon.
Hundreds of photographers are capturing wild and beautiful photos, crafts and arts are free for anybody who are interested to create. Going around will only make you smell different kinds of food.
Music, dancing and all that stuff is a tremendous offering to nature.
Fashion is at its extreme, and
...Among the crowd, I also have my favorites....
I liked to see men in longer hairs and wearing skirts...for me it is the high fashion these days,
I think he is very brave..
Corsets are a sweet thing! They are back this fall, I would not only drool over Gone With the Wind, either look for one on Etsy, hey, they are back in style, try check BCBG and H&M!
One thing about this event is, it is amazing and freedom, children are joining everyone, and it is very normal.
I was born in a very conservative country, and something like this activities is less likely allowed for children to be present. I love the bloomer shorts ( which I found a similar one sale in Urban Outiftters) of that lady back afar and the interwined coconut leaves hat of this young boy!
.......... these are the appreciation of the human bodies...
male and female are allowed to be naked, this has been the tradition
for the wild 3 days event located in the place called Veneta....
delicious aroma of food, art, and rejoicing is everywhere!!!
Locally made shoes from Colorado priced from $150 - $800.00.
Locally made leather bags from Eugene, Oregon priced at $250.00.
NO BOTTLES OR GLASS, NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED.
Come visit Veneta , Oregon every third week of July!

Very inspiring pictures! I agree about men in skirts (though it's a pity that they still have to be *brave* to wear them while women have been wearing pants without bravery for ages... :) and about corsets (though they're too restraining for me to wear them in everyday life).
ReplyDeleteHave a nice fall too!
Oh god, those leather bags are GREAT!!! And speaking of great, I just love your look in this post! The flower crown is the perfect touch!!

What a cool event! It looks very liberating! Of course the "No smoking, no alcohol" policy makes it very restricting for greeks! (haha). Many kisses :)
